Made to fit, not made to fill

Reception desks, storage walls, tea points, lockers, banquette seating and the boxing-in that makes a building look designed rather than patched. Bespoke joinery is what stops a fit-out looking like it came out of a catalogue, and it is the part clients and visitors touch. Everything is made to the dimensions of the room it is going in, scribed to walls that are never square, and finished to a commercial standard that survives daily use.

Questions

Asked and answered

Do you make the joinery yourselves?

Bespoke pieces are made up off site to survey dimensions and then fitted, scribed and adjusted in the room, because no commercial building is square enough to drop a finished carcass into. Fitted elements like boxing, panelling and trims are cut on site to suit what is actually there.

Can you match our brand colours and materials?

Yes. Laminates, veneers, solid surface, paint finishes and edge details can all be specified to a brand palette, and we will get samples in front of you before anything is ordered. If you have brand guidelines, send them over at design stage.

How long does bespoke joinery take?

Typically four to eight weeks from approved drawings and final site dimensions to installation, depending on the piece and the finish. Because dimensions are taken after the partitions and floors are in, joinery is usually one of the last things ordered and one of the reasons fit-out programmes are what they are.

Is bespoke much more expensive than off-the-shelf furniture?

For loose furniture like desks and task chairs, off-the-shelf is almost always the right answer and we will say so. Bespoke earns its money on the fixed items, so reception desks, storage walls, tea points and anything that has to fit an awkward space exactly. That is where a catalogue product either does not fit or wastes floor area.

Can you supply loose furniture too?

We can source and install desks, chairs, tables and soft seating alongside the build so it all arrives coordinated and someone else deals with the deliveries. You will see the furniture cost separately from the construction cost on the quotation.

Will the joinery stand up to daily commercial use?

It is specified for it. Commercial-grade laminates and edging, proper ironmongery, serviceable fixings and finishes chosen for cleaning rather than for a photograph. Domestic-spec joinery in a busy office looks tired within a year, and it is a false economy we will steer you away from.
